Hey - The vocals could be up in the mix on this as there are times when the harmonies are difficult to hear -- at least for me. I liked the keyboard sound and the way it meshed with the guitar sound. I would pay some attention to tweaking the eq on certain aspects of the mix to bring more clarity. An interesting listen for sure :) Allan ====

I like it!! You have a very interesting voice, and there are some intriguing things going on vocally. Very, very creative. At times it sounds like pop, at times it sounds operatic, and you keep both of those elements in tension very well. Best of luck with your music!!

Very cool Ken - you have a hell of a vocal range. I agree, the main vocal could come up in the mix.

Hey Ken, this is really cool - I love all of the elements in it. your voice is really good, but it's hard to hear it all the time because you've got the instruments all squashed to much (compressed). I'd like to hear everything with a little more dynamics - give everything some breathing room. great playing, great vox - really nice stuff - I think you'll have something really good here if you tweak the mix some. feel free to ignore the ol' dog, tho! great tribute to your BIL!

This has lots of things to like, nice playing interesting vox, I agree the vocal could do with being a dB or 2 louder and a little less squished overall. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds pretty good! The squished/overcompressed sound really, in my view, only apply to the piano and something else that comes with it. The other instruments sound pretty good the way they are. Alsao, the mix sounds kind of thin, the kick and bass are just not there. Interesting vocal arrangement! Regards, Dan

Thanks, Dan. I sat a bit too long with my new headset, and got lost. The bass plays very high (notes) on this song, and made me try a low bass that comes in with the piano. It is probably way to compressed. Am tweaking a bit tonight / tomorrow, and will upload when done. All the best.

I agree with Jude that it's sorta pop, but not. Just an interesting mix of styles that make for a unique song! That low vocal line is almost inhuman. Loved all the harmonies and the way the vocal parts interweave. Good stuff. Sorry you had to record it under those circumstances, but I think it's worth having out there.

Thanks for your feedback, Steve. Around the time I wrote this, I kind of "found my inner music". Wrote in a lot of different styles (and maybe it showed).. And for the low vocals, I cannot do this every day (maybe 1-2 times a week). I had some emotional issues while tracking, but I think it was therapeutic in some way All the best.

Good job on this tribute to your Brother-In-Law. Overall the recording and performance is very good. That really low vocal was quite surprising:) That is crazy low vocal considering your other singing range in the upper registers. Very good listen... Regards

Thanks for your positive feedback, Mark. My speaking voice is closer to the low, but not as deep as that Even though I find the higher notes quite overcomable most days. I also enjoy trying to use (from low to high ,or the other way around) both at times All the best.

Not familiar with this tune, but you did an awesome job with it. Love the way the layered vocals work with the strings. Excellent stuff! I can appreciate all the work that went into mixing this one.

I really like the song and production. Good job. Wonderful melody and feel. I think you have some distortion on levels. If you remix, please check all your levels and sub groups. I think there is some clipping going on. Love your creativity.

Thanks for your kind feedback, Jimmy. At the end (of mixing) I thought I heard some clicks and pops (a couple of times, but they seemed to be plugin related), and will go back and check. All the best.
