Where are the "over 1,500 production-ready presets"?

No doubt I'm missing something really obvious, but I don't see 1,500 presets.  The manual talks about "programs" not "presets."  I see the programs (a hundred+), but where are the presets?

Note: http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/DimensionPro/preset.asp.  It references the 1,500 presets, but goes on to show the element browser and describes "[h]undreds of sound programs" in the "sound banks."

Thanks!

"Presets", "programs", "patches" and "sounds" commonly refer to the same thing in synthesizers.  They're the stored configurations of settings which produce a particular sound.

If you open your DimPro browser, you'll see maybe 15 or 20 categories with little plus signs.  Click on a category name and it will open to reveal other subcategories or loads of sounds.  That's where the 1500+ sounds are.

Well, Cakewalk refers to both patches and programs, and describes 1,500 for the former and hundreds for the latter.  So Cakewalk is using those terms differently.  And still, when I click on the subcatogories, there is no way that there are 1,500 there.

Maybe the quoted 1,500 sounds refer to the sfz and WAV files that make up the programs? Completly different to what they're saying, but that's the only thing i can think of.

I installed the two expansion packs and have a total of around 2400 programs.  By "programs", I mean the sounds that you access when using the dark blue browser (it's one one shown in the link from the OP).

The reason I know the number is that I downloaded a text list of all the programs, then imported it into Excel so I could rank and sort the programs.

The two expansion packs are advertised as having 350 sounds each.  If we subtract their contribution from my 2400 total, we get around 1700 programs, which agrees well with the advertised 1500+ programs.

I was shocked when the spreadsheet showed me such a huge total.  Because the categories are nested into subfolders, it doesn't look like there are that many programs.  I would have guessed that I had less than 1000 programs.  Perhaps that's what the OP is experiencing.

Or perhaps all of the programs didn't get loaded for some reason.

How did you do the text download?  Maybe I should do it, too, and will be surprised.
