Where can I find a manual or info for scoring?

Been searching and reading and looking it up in my X1 software but the info I've found is sparse at best... Any help? I've managed to import a vid clip in a new project and then insert a softsynth like Sonic Synth or Philharmonik... When I set up a midi track as I would in any project I'm either getting nothing or when I trigger the sequencer it is playing two synths at the same time... I have everything assigned correctly on the midi track and use the correct channel too... Is there something else I need to do when working with video? I don't have this problem when I'm just working in a music project... only when I have a video open...

If everything is set up and routed correctly, you will hear the track(s) with the input echo button activated while playing.  That is the squiggly line button next to the mute/solo/record buttons

Thanks Mike... Like I stated I don't have that problem with a normal project... only when I have a video loaded... so I'm thinking I'm missing something....

Glad you got it worked out.  Is it possible you started Sonar and your soundcard was off?  That will usually mess up your outputs and make you re-assign them.

Have you fully isolated this as an issue? If so then that should mean if you simply delete the video track then instantly everything works perfectly. In reverse, set up a project with everything but the video. If it works perfectly -then- import the video. If this suddenly causes the instruments that were responding to stop responding, then you have an issue. If this is not the case then yeah, you're missing something. Then at least you have isolated the problem and confirmed it.

Nevermind. Your latest post didn't show until I responded.  Strange that there was that large of a "latency" in posts showing up.

The thread title is a bit misleading - what's this got to do with info about a manual for scoring?

Well... I was having some problems so I asked where I could find the material to do some RTFM........ I also added in what problem I was having .... The replys all came addressed to my problem not to my original question... I apologize if this confused you...
PS... I would still like to know where I can find said 'manual'... X1's explanation is a bit limp...

    This is a good one:

    http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=midi+orchestration&hl=en&prmd=imvnsb&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1366&bih=643&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=9443922631918934591&sa=X&ei=1K8KUMuSBcKL0AWl1YDMCg&ved=0CFAQ8wIwAA

I could be wrong but I think he means more on scoring for film/video within X1...if I'm correct then unfortunately X1 is pretty limited on video formats it will currently accept...fortunately they are aware of it and may be working onb a solution.
