Where did the track layer button go in X2

When I bounce a track from Vvocal and have 2 layers on top of each other, I use to click the layers button and it would expand all the layers. It's gone man. (I do not mean lanes button, that does not expand the layers)

Lanes replaced layers because they are an "improvement"... but that has been being debated since X2s release.

Not sure what you are trying to do but lanes should, in theory, accomplish most things you would have done using layers. Just take a look at the manual to see how they function. The answer is likely there.

when I click on lanes, the clips that are underneath another clip saty burried even with lanes open, the only way to get rid of or isolate a buried track is to grab the edge of the top track, slide it ove then click on the pirece of the buried track and delete or work with. but the track on NO leve ever become separated to see both at a glance. This is a terrible change.

um... could you edit that post. I can't understand what you are saying.

However it sounds like you are saying you've got clips overlapping in the same lane. That should not be happening. Each clip in the same time period should have their own lane. In the future you can avoid this by pressing the + button to create a new lane for your new take... but it should be automatic when the new audio overlaps an older take.

strange, my take lanes are expanding to show underlying v-vocal clips.  one lane for muted take and one for the vvocal changes. try ctrl+clicking on the take lane button.
