Thank you for posting it. I also see link in announcements thread. Why are they hiding it? The 1st announcement post says to log in to Band Lab account, it took 30 minutes and I would not find it if you did not post the link. Why?

I agree. I can't get to it except by links posted here, and I always wonder if they are the latest or not. although in my case it doesn't matter right now, as no link will allow me to install the latest version, so I can't update. I'm waiting until they come up with an app that works for everyone. Which I'm sure they will. In the meantime, what I have works fine.

Installation has always been in the web-based help.

if i google "BandLab Assistant" it's the second result, clicking through gets to the installer, easy enough...
but the installer's named "bandlab-assistant-windows-latest.exe" which gives no idea of the version
B-, could try harder

just a sec

These are the portals for everything Cakewalk by BandLab.
https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk
and
https://cakewalk.bandlab.com

I added a hyperlink to Meng's post to make it easier to find.

When I looked at the main BandLab home page I can see no link to the Cakewalk portals.

https://www.bandlab.com/

The '/products/cakewalk' part of the https://www.bandlab.com/products/cakewalk link is not apparent from the home page, unless you know about it.  Somebody probably needs to give their web designer a heads up.

I think it is that way on purpose. We are in the know. Bandlab still has porting to do and wants to set
up a new forum website. They don't need the extra headache of support just yet. Give them a few more months to sort it out. Hopefully by the fall it will be a go.  My take on this subject :)

Yup, I thought about that, but didn't want to fuel a debate with speculation...

Cakewalk by BandLab hasn't been formally released yet; what is out there is still an "early access" edition. It says so right on the BandLab website: "To get early access now, visit the product page."

For those familiar with such terms, maybe they consider it a "release candidate," or even "public beta."

Whatever, I consider myself unbelievably fortunate to have any access to such an amazing tool in what appears to be its most feature-rich, least crash-prone (haven't experienced one in weeks, which is really great) edition yet.

Warning: if you tell me my issue can be remedied by buying more RAM, an SSD, or a Waves plug-in, I will troll you pitiilessly

Are you a BandLab employee?

Our experience here is that staff use their names and have a special employee logon that makes it clear who they are. Even the BandLab owner uses his name and introduced himself.

His use of the phrases "...maybe they consider it..." and "...I consider myself unbelievably fortunate to have any access..." suggests he is not a Bandlab employee.
