Where is the piano view midi editor?

I used to double click on my midi in my track (example piano) and it would open a piano view editor that I could use to edit. This hasn't worked since my update and it's got me completely stalled on multiple projects. How do I get to this? Was something changed in the update.

PS - It also doesn't work in my original SPLAT install either.

Thanks!

Not got Cake in front of me right now, but I think you can change the behaviour of double clicking on a midi track. Probably in preferences.

Splat, Win 10 64bit and all sorts of musical odds and sods collected over the years, but still missing a lot of my old analogue stuff I sold off years ago.

I looked in preferences and didn't see anything that jumped out. I have a feeling that I may have accidentally hit a hotkey. I've done it before and not realized it.

Menu 'Views > Piano Roll View'.

That just shows it, but doesn't reset the double click on midi track action.

    Found the problem!

I had a bad cable for my second monitor so I was only using one monitor. I guess Cakewalk remembered that I liked the PRV to open in my second monitor and that is why I didn't see it since the monitor wasn't even plugged in.

Aha!  The old 2nd monitor thing!  I have been bitten by that one a few times, as I do not always power on my 2nd monitor unless I plan to use it.

Good thing you got it sorted out.  ALT F3 is also the default shortcut to the PRV.
