Where to Put Virtual Instruments

Howdy from Seattle,

I have a hot rod PC I just bought with 3 ea 1 TB drives. Of course I have Windows 7 and Cakewalk loaded on the primary disk. I plan to use one drive for projects. Where would be the ideal location to install Omniphere, Komplete and Superior Drummer? What would be my best most efficient choice?
Thanks,

Soop

    Disc 1 - Operating System & Programs
    Disc 2 - Cakewalk Projects
Disc 3 - Sample Libraries (just the samples - progs go to disc 1)

You should be offered an option as to where your samples are loaded when you install the smaple libararies.

komplete will take a long time to install , so do it on a day when ya bored or go watch TV etc.hehe

I would say make sure you have a backup procedure in place also.

    +1 Paul

Soop - get yourself a big external drive (2Tb) for backup purposes.

    And get the coffee on!
