Whew! Sand is heavy, man.

We have some erosion problems in our driveway. Should have fixed it years ago when we both had good paying jobs.
But we didn't and recent rain storms have taken some pretty big bites out of the driveway.
So I went out with a coal shovel and a tarp and dug up as much of the sand and gravel that the water moved to the bottom of the hill as I could, shovelled it onto the tarp and dragged it to the top and patched the ruts. Well, patched the bottoms of the ruts. I'll need a lot more sand to completely fill them in and more gravel to top it off.
I guess I made a dozen trips up the hill and I feel like Mike Tyson worked me over. Oh my aching back!

On a side note, I just logged in here awhile ago and it says that I've read all the posts except 3 which were posted a few minutes before I logged on.
Was someone reading posts in my name or is there something wrong with the forum software?

Herb, I didn't know what that was so I Binged it.
Yeah, that's what I need, unfortunately I can't afford to spend any money right now with me being the only wage-earner in the house. I had to use what I have, the sand that washed out, all the gravel I could scrape up. I didn't even want to spend the $35 for a wheelbarrow which left me with the draggable tarp.
Brother Mike still hasn't heard if he's going to get disability.
He does have an appointment for his vein splicing to prepare him for dialysis. I'll have to drive him to the VA hospital in Durham for that.
