Which ADpaks did you get for AD2?

I originally bought sonar pro and updated to platinum so already have Metal and Black Velvet ADpaks.
so I have 2 more to choose from.

I also own Steven Slate Drums 4 Platinum and was wondering if there are any ADpaks that excel at something that SSD4 doesn't?

I record my own metal stuff mostly but SSD4 seems to cover that pretty well.

I considered Reel Machines as I also like Industrial stuff but I have Reason 7 and battery 4 and they seem to already cover electric drums pretty well(and SSD4 has electric kits too).

I also have 3 Midipaks to choose and no idea which ones to choose.

Help!

I got Fairfax Volumes 1 and 2 which pretty much cover everything I need. I also got United Pop as well. Of the three, Fairfax Volume 1 gets the most use for pop, rock, metal . . . pretty much anything. For metal, I used to use Superior Drummer with the Metal Forge kits. That was great but not nearly as flexible as AD

Hi. It would depend on what kind of music you write.
I do not remember which ones came with AD2, but I have: Studio Rock, Pop and Prog and Fairfax Vol 2, in addition to Metal and Black Velvet.
I chose Metal songs, Heavy Rock and Diabolic as my MIDI ad packs.
I also got a Pearl Piccolo snare.
All the best.

I’ve got them all .

But the ADPaks most often recommended when questions like this turn up seems to be Fairfax Volume 1, Black Velvet and then something. I would personally add Modern Soul and R&B to that list, but of course that depends on your music preferences.

In my case, Fairfax Vol 2, Reel Machines and Jazz Brushes were my choice, trying to cover as much as i could.

For those who may still not know, you can download your purchased MIDI paks as MIDI files (for use with other drum romplers) from a hidden page in your XLN account. Once you log in, add "/offline" to the URL:

from: https://www.xlnaudio.com/myaccount-myproducts
to: https://www.xlnaudio.com/myaccount-myproducts/offline

and press Enter. Scroll all the way to the bottom of that hidden page. You'll find your purchased External MIDI Files there.

Reel Machines, Session Percussion, and the Brushes kits are all fantastic.
