Which SPDIF Cable for VRM box?

I'm looking for a decent SPDIF Cable that would connect my VRM box to my audio interface. I've found two, besides the very expensive one from Monster Cable. The thing is, both tips have varying lengths... which of the two would work best? http://www.samash.com/p/H...orted%20Lengths_184143 or http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DRA501

Either one will work.  I already had a cable when I got my VRM box - a generic cable and it works without problems.  You don't need the overpriced Monster cable.

I just use good quality ( Beldon/switchcraft) RCA cables. Don't use the skinny paired type sold for consumer audio. Mine are built like guitar cables with RCA jacks on the end, 3' long. I've got a bunch left over from the past when Tape/ Mini disk/ CD players etc were used in live sound. And ya, Monster cables are a total rip off. Aviod gold plating it's not gold, it's just paint.

OK, thanks guys for your response. I have 2m component audio cables (a step-up from the cheap skinny RCA cables), a pair of L/R ones that use to be connected to my Progressive scan dvd player to my TV. Will those cables work? Just use either the L or R one? Or is SPDIF a special cable for its own purpose, or is it just a label?

A lot of times, a cheapo 1m audio cable will work fine in place of a digital cable.  Sometimes it won't. But because audio cables sometimes actually do work just fine, try what you've got on hand.  If the connection is unreliable, then spend more money on the real thing.  But don't waste money on Monster Cable.  Find an internet site that specializes in cables or just check out amazon.com or a site like newegg.  Just my two cents to possibly help you save a few of yours.
