Which brick wall limiter - for those loud patches

Trying to save my hearing and equipment on some of the patches that get overload loud.

I tried the vintage warmer 2 demo, that worked. But what else is out there?

Kjaerhus Classic Master Limiter works, simple interface, and it's free.

Voxengo has a lot of good stuff as well - some free and some reasonably priced.

GClip is also free and a good clipper/brick wall limiter with a graphical interface resembling Boost 11. Also with possibility to use soft knee clipping. Otherwise if you have Boost 11 use but without gain. Three other good free limiters are George Young W1, a Waves L1 clone, ( http://www.yohng.com/w1limit.html also available with graphical interface from betabugs), TL Pocket Limiter ( http://hem.bredband.net/tbtaudio/ ) and Modern Limiter from Antress ( http://antress.webng.com/download.html ).

Sadly very reduced studio equipment as it is... ASUS G750J, 8 gb RAM, Win8, Roland Quad Capture.

I'll check them all ou. For right now the free classic limiter will allow me to try out all the Rapture patches without concern.

    Thanks!

    Hi jcpzero,

What sample rate are you using--96kHz? I believe there may be an issue with Dimension Pro, 96kHz, and the mod wheel. Check the Instruments forum. Some posts mentioned similar behavior with Rapture. I believe that the issue doesn't effect lower sample rates such as 44.1/ 48 kHz, though. If you are getting erratic behavior on some programs, lease post the bug with an example.

I am running at 96khz. I have not been keeping track of which patches overload, I just have noticed other posts where others are having a similar issue. I'll start keeping tack of the patches I have the problems with.
