Which cakewalk encoder do I need for X1?

     Gave the LAME encoder a try and Im not gonna lie i didn't what the hell I was doing. I heard the cakewalk encoder is hassle free, which one do i need though, theres 2 different ones right?

    Search the forums for lots of threads on how to configure it to work with Sonar in high quality mode, e.g. post No.23 here:

    Just follow the steps carefully and you should be ok.

    Or you could spend $19 like I did and just buy the one from CW that works. YMMV

    well i want to activate the one the came with cakewalk but i dont know how to use it, is it pretty self explanatory

    Activating the MP3 encoder that comes with Cakewalk requires buying and downloading a key that will unlock it for further use.

    As far as using it goes you need to use the Export Audio option and select MP3.

    The interesting thing is that Cakewalk use the LAME encoder too but it's all configured for you. Something you can do for free.
