I am a SONAR fan for my personal use.

But having worked in recording studios for over 20 years with various artists, I will confess and admit that STABILITY is one of PRO TOOLS # 1 strengths.

Especially is you are dealing with mostly Audio recording and Editing (as Pro Tools was originally designed to do)

I have seen a FEW stability problems arise when PT is used for extensive MIDI type work ......... but that also seems to be where our beloved SONAR starts to cough and spit most often.

Personally I prefer SONAR
At the moment I strongly prefer SONAR 8 (until this new SONAR X-series gets ironed out over a few revisions) ........

But I have to put personal preferences aside and state that all things being equal,  a professional PRO TOOLS system is the most stable DAW out there.

No doubt one of the reasons 90% of all large studios, movie soundtracks and professionals use it everyday around the world.

They don't have time to "tinker" with software when "time is money on this job".

In summary,

SONAR has more extensive features and superior MIDI

But PRO TOOLS is certainly the more stable and reliable of the two.

But I again repeat, I have had no problems with SONAR 8.3 , and personally prefer SONAR myself ........... even if 98% of the industry I have dealt with all use PRO TOOLS

Has anyone run this thru Bing?

If we averaged the Bing hits (not bong hits) with Google, the results just might be something useful that we could use as a basis to make decisions upon.

With X1 recommendation being a 1080p capable monitor I think the time is right.
