Which one?

When I'm installing Rapture it gives me a choice of VST or DXi to install. Which one should I pick and why?

    It depends what host(s) you're using.

    Cakewalk hosts (Sonar, Project 5, Home Studio, etc) prefer DXI plugins, but via the VST adapter can use VSTI

    Cubase, Tracktion, Minihost, EnergyXT, Phrazor, etc use VSTI only.

    FLStudio, Brainspawn Forte, Band-in-a-Box, and Console can use either VSTI or DXI.

    If you may be adding a new host (like Cantibile for live playing) or sub-host (EnergyXT inside Sonar, for example) then it's a good reason to install both. There's not much of a hit on the disk space.

    Sorry dougsyo I should have mention that I'm using FLStudio. I see in the list it can use one or the other, so which one? Is one better than the other or they the same and just pick one.

    My experience (and that of several others) is that FLS handles VSTI better than DXI, in most cases.
