I think this thread warrants a bookmark. Can't afford anything yet but I might as well start researching. I also have a Blue Ball mic I might try for vox. They're supposedly decent for deep male voices (which I have... think drunken Johnny Cash). Also have some SM58 and 58 style mics. I would LOVE to get a Beta 58 (I think that's what they're called... it's been so long). Used to rock one live and it was perfect for my voice when I was doing screechier stuff. Not as tinny as a Green but more defined than a 58. I also have a pencil condenser for hi hats so maybe I can use that in conjunction with the Blue Ball or the Samson condensers to snag some more of the high frequencies those are lacking.
