While I'm in the RXP mood...

Sometimes, I can get some pretty good groves going with the 'Randomize' function in RXP. The only thing is that it randomises (sorry, I have to use British spelling ) the order of the slices rather than the order of the notes to trigger the slices (if you follow me). This is a pain when you need a variation for a couple of bars - it means you need to load another instance of RXP only to play those couple of bars.

Is there a way in Project5 or Sonar or any third party solution that can randomise the order of notes in a clip that could be used to trigger REX slices?

    Hi pwal,

Possibly a CAL script but I am not sure. I have been looking for an MFX plug that could do it but have been unsuccessful so far. I looked at Frank's Midi Plugs. It has a humanize plugin in the set which can randomise the timing slightly and even the pitch (by sending pitch bend information), but this isn't what I really need.

Is there any online resource of CAL scripts available that you know of?

    Mr. Jardim,

I just tried your suggestion - I created a two bar pattern with notes with a two bar length covering the range of the slices and then fed it through the arpeggiator. Wow, certainly some interesting grooves coming out of my monitors!! Thanks for the tip!!
