I am not familiar with this tune but I love it! Wish I had written it. You do a fine job with the midi. The only thing I would have questioned was the bass and it sounds good for this tune. You do a great vocal. The wole thing sounds great. Nice work.

Ah, I remember your Kyrie cover...another great job! You've got a really good ear and captured CH's sound quite well. Regards, Dan

Neil Finn would be very impressed with this. You've chosen one of my all favorite singer/songwriters to cover, and you do so convincingly. I like every thing about this. Encore!

Thanks for the compliments! I am a huge Crowded House/Split Enz/Neil Finn fan. I left the Wah off of the bass intro and added Paul Hester's harmonies from their live concerts. This was such a fun song to cover. There is so much perfection in the arrangement that I hardly EQ'd anything. Now if I could just be Neil Finn for one day...the things I would learn.

Lynn, First of all thank you for your kind words. They are much appreciated. Had a chance to hear your tunes on Soundcloud. I like what you are doing. You have a unique vibe. You need to post more tunes. Also your mixes are very tight. Cheers Mark

Mark, I appreciate your kind words. I listened to most of your catalog of song on Soundclick last night, and I'm simply amazed. Your covers are all brilliant, as well as your original song. "Kyrie" in particular is amazing, and so is your cover of "Africa". BTW, most of my songs are on my Soundclick site, and the first 11 songs are my new CD. Thanks again!

Lynn Thanks for listening! Those mixes on my Soundcloud page have been done on every version of Sonar since 2003! It gets a lot easier with the faster PCs and the newer software. One thing about "Africa"...try as I might I could not duplicate the percussion bed so I sampled it off the original CD. That loop is the signature of the entire song. If you mute it the entire composition and feel changes! That was also the 1st song I ever recorded with a DAW. I'll have to check out your Soundclick catalog. It is blocked by our content filter at work so I'll give it a listen when I get home. Thanks again for your kind words! Cheers Mark
