Who here records audio for Film/TV?

Sorry guys, I am posting here as well as some 8.5.3 guys might have moved to X1 by now:

I have had serious problems live and in testing with 8.5.3 staying in sync using Full Chase Lock. The audio comes out dropped in pitch and out of sync. I have tested with my RME HDSP9652, Yamaha i88x and M-Audio Delta 1010 units. Same problem.

All three audio cards will work perfectly dong the same thing in Nuendo 4 on the same PC.

Win 7 32 bit, Asus Motherboard, AMD Dual Core 2.5, 4GB Ram, Three Seagate HDDs for OS, Audio etc

Any ideas would be really welcome!

Best,

Ludwig

Don't use full chase lock. Make sure all your devices are clocked to the same digital clock and use 'trigger and freewheel'.  If you're using some sort of timecode master, then you should have your digital clock sync to that.

I would go with trigger and freewheel. I had the same problems as you when I used Full chase lock.

I use "Trigger and freewheel" and everything is locked into my Lucid GenX6 for clocking.
