Who is BitBridge Teleport Server trying to call and WHY?

My firewall app(BitDefender Total Security 2011) shows me that BitBridge Teleport Server is attempting to make a connection to 65.23.154.19 on port 80[http] sometimes. WHO is it trying to call and for WHAT purpose?

That IP address corresponds to an audio site called http://www.soundtoys.com/, and they sell a bunch of different effects and such.

Perhaps you have one of their plugins and it requires some sort of authorization check through the web, or perhaps it auto-checks for updates.

The following are pulled from their Products page, and I would imagine one or more are on your system:
Crystallizer
Decapitator
Devil-Loc Deluxe
EchoBoy
FilterFreak
Little MicroShift
PanMan
PhaseMistress
Radiator
Tremolator

Bob Bone

Do a Ctrl-Alt-Delete and end process of BitBridge. After that don't use 32bit plugins with 64 bit sonar.

X-3e/X-2a, Windows 7 64bit, Intel i7-2600, 16Gb ram, 4 Tb HDD, 32 inch monitor, RME FireFace UFX, Shure SRH1840 Headphones, KRK Rockit 5 monitors w/ KRK 10 inch sub and 3 Dachshunds.

iLoks don't phone home. You have to connect to get a license on them, but after that they just auth off the dongle.

I noticed that the TELEPORT server would run whenever I had a 32 bit plugin in x64 Sonar... I think that SONAR purchased this from FX MAX.  I used to use this program when I was running a multiple PC VST farm in the 32 bit days... I was quite surprised to see it running from within SONAR.  I since upgraded to J BRIDGE and now only have a few 32 bit plugins running, ECHO BOY from Soundtoys even though I need an iLOK for SOUNDTOYS.

Hope that sheds some light onto the subject.

Jim

PS - There are x64 versions of the Soundtoys plugs, but the upgrade price is quite hefty so I haven't upgraded these yet.
