mmmm...looks kind of interesting. I'd be thinking about it....

The space you have will always be exceeded in direct proportion to the amount of stuff you have...Thornton's Postulate.

I saw the write up from sweetwater's open house and saw that FOW (fountains of wayne) played.

Now I wish I had attended.....of course long drive from south florida.

I can do that at my house...
I sort of lost interest after a while though. I have a Tweed Deluxe with a Bandmaster OT that has been almost finished for quite a while... I need to finish it. I am easily distracted. I started out with STF kits. They are good and have good instructions.

I have been thinking about building a Granger JTM45. He is not too far away, near Birmingham, AL. I've heard good things about Granger... http://www.grangeramp.com/index.php
You know... I don't think Granger offers kits, just good clones. Not sure anymore. I've always wanted to build a 45 and I've always wanted to tackle an AC-30 clone minus reverb. I just love amps... I don't think a person can have too many amps. I need a Super BEATLE and a Buckingham on a trolley too...
As long as we are talking amps, if you read this... I have been looking for a mid 60s Jordan Boss amp and Boss Satellite amp forever... I have two of their big 2x15 stage combos but have never been able to find a Boss... so, if you ever see one PLEASE tell me. I really want one.

I think that's the purpose of the "camp" atmosphere... to stay in the company of enthused people and get it all done real quickly.

That is really cool! I think it would be fun.

I was at Sweetwater during Gear Fest and quite enjoyed it. I am looking for an excuse to go back but that is a little pricey. Probably worth it for all you get but still...

I only live 2 hours away, and I would love it but, there's no way I could scrape up $2500.00. And even if I could, I would rather have a Midas Venice f32!

    I don't want to.

If I were gigging and wanted an amp I'd design and build my cabinets/w speakers and hope that I could get Ampfixer (John) to build my amp....and I'd build the amp cabinet too.

I'd be real happy playing one of John's amps too.
