Who is the top dog at Cakewalk?
Who is the CEO at Cakewalk? I know (I think) it is a wholey owned subsidiary of Roland but who is the top person at Cakewalk that reports to the Roland CEO? I would like to get his/her name and ask why the beta release of X1 and would Cakewalk focus on fixing long standing issues and newly released bugs before anything else? Although Noel, Seth, Brandon and others have been very helpful and visible on the forum, when I have an issue with a product or service I usually by pass the staff and speak directly to management. Has anyone ever spoke to the owners (pre or post Roland)? I think it would be a fair request to ask and expect a response from those in charge.

I'm pretty sure the top dog at Cakewalk is Brandon's standard poodle, Mr. Pib. He's large...even for a standard...and, according to my sources, rules the roost at the Cake offices. He's constantly eating Seth's take out sushi when he leaves it unattended and seems to think that Robin's cubicle is his personal "lavatory". Plus, I have it on personal authority that both Brandon and Mr. Pib are groomed by the same hairdresser every other Saturday. In fact, most of the folks (Noel in particular) in the office have grown quite tired of the phrase..."who's a good boy...who's a good boy...that's right...you are, Mr. Pib."

Too Sensible why the beta release of X1 and would Cakewalk why the beta release of X1 It's not a beta release because it has bugs - but I suspect you know that. If you argue from the level of a child you will probably be treated as such.

daveny5 It is and has always been Greg Hendershott. ------------------------------------------------------ Well,Greg Henershott was certainly the inventor, the founder of Cakewalk, and was its CEO. But even if he nominally still is now, does he really call the shots? Or is the real decision-making done by Roland execs in Japan?

If you argue from the level of a child you will probably be treated as such. It's hardly of final release quality though......few of the advertised features actually work Audiosnap doesn't work V-Vocal causes an instant application crash I feel like I am a beta tester This has got to be the most premature release of software in the history of the computer. Cakewalk are just too into the shiny new look and feel and couldn't give a stuff whether the advertised features actually work. How this software is getting 9/10 in the press amazes me.....are Computer Music et al on the payroll? Of course they are - it's all advertising revenue for them. Am I expecting too much for all the features to actually work straight out of the box? I don't think so. If you bought a car and when you went to work the air conn nothing happened (or worse still it caused the car to veer off the road and smash into some road furniture) then the car maker would be duty bound to fix it... So Cakewalk, fix your broken software and do it now.....I need it working now

Dennis Houlihan is the Chairman of Roland Corp, and with Roland being the majority share holder , I would say Dennis Is the Top Dog. But the Real top Dog is Mr. Ikutaro Kakehashi, The Founder of Roland.

hats kind of rubbing it in isn't it Eric? Not really, I still use the "old DAW" and don't have a "new DAW"; hence my curiosity ...
