    I worked in software production before.  been there done that.  grewling hours when your trying to meet deadlines.

    They may just get away with paying their developers well under the going rate.  Who's going to quit a job where you get to work on such cool stuff?

    I would like to visit for a day but I don't think I would last long there. Certainly wish I had the skills to make plugins though.

    what I hear most from ex-IT pros is how nice it is to just go home without having to bring their work along too

    I think most IT pros are working in fields that aren't that inspiring.  Data management and analysis is a PITA, unless you really love it.  There are people that will love the products being built and deployed, and some who always wanted to be doing something else but working in a personally unfulfilling market segment.  
    I'm just glad the video had english captions because my german is rusty, my japanese is nil.
