Whole Lotta Lovin'

I am very happy to have finished "Whole Lotta Lovin'".  Some of you heard this last fall and at that time I needed to write the lyrics and finish the tracks.

Very special thanks to Ed Kocol for his bass part and production help, Ed's son Jason Kocol for the organ and sax solo, and Julianna McDuffie for background vocals.

Hope you like it.  This was a fun collaboration as well as my first blues song.  I could see it used at the end of film while credits are rolling with some hot car speeding off into the sunset?

This has motown vibe.  Good vocals.  Nice R&B vibe.  Nice groove.  Harmonies are cool

The crit I might offer is the lead guitar seemed just a tad off in timing in couple of spots, but very minor.  Mix is pretty well balanced.

Good time feelin'.

Ok not what I was expecting, I was expecting tight velvet flares and an extreamly high pitched voice for a man

Nice, it has a country vibe with a bit of a seventies feel to it.  I like the mix it has a real warmth and depth to it.  Well sung and played.

Nice Job

Thanks to all for your wonderful compliments!

Daryl, Thanks for your kind words.  I am working on my lead playing as I really am a drummer but I liked the feel and decided to keep the raw track instead of making it too perfect.  Good comment.

Ben, I couldn't get into tight velvet flares at this point in my life.  Thanks for your encouragement.

Bapu, you were great to work with and thanks again for your input and creativity.  Jason did a wonderful job as well.  You are right, Jubilee was terrific.

Jubilee, your vocals were super!  Thank you for your tracks and I have been listening to your songs and they are very good.  Your voice is great.

hi Rimshot ,
I enjoyed listening to this tune ,
yeah , funny thing I went to the song first and didn't read anything
as I was listening I said to myself , these guys would fit in great at a place i play at once a week
i thought it was pretty much a live in the same room type of sound
then I read that this was a forum collab
good job & nice work to all the contributors

Hi Kenny,

Thanks for the listen.  May I ask what kind of place you play at once a week?  The live group Jan & Ted I gig with are going to learn this song and Jan (female vocalist) will do her rendition of it.  I am looking forward to that.

GR - Thank you.  I have to look up what "Stax vibe" means.  I know I will embarrass myself.

Cian - Thank you too.  I played played the drums on keyboard and used SD3.  How is Ireland?  I did some business at Shannon for a few years.  Met some wonderful people and loved Dirty Nelly's pub and Bon Ratti Castle, hotel and pub.  One of our managers took me out toward Dalway and showed me a very ancient dolman on her grandfather's property.  I could go on and on.  Thanks for your listen!
