Why are MIDI notes duplicated?

Why are MIDI notes duplicated?

Hey Guys!
When I record MIDI each note shows up in the PR as two notes which sounds weird.  One note is hidden behind the other and is very short.  How do I prevent that from happening, please?

    Are you entering the notes with a MIDI keyboard, or a mouse?
    I had this problem for a while and couldn't diagnose it - it turned out that I had the "dual" option selected on my keyboard.  It may be a similar thing for you.

    check the track. you might have put 2 clips on top of each other or possibly slip edited one clip over the other.

    Check that Local is switched off on your keyboard if you're running Midi In AND Out to/from your keyboard
