    Why Aye Man

Love this song. Loved the Auf Wiedersehen Pet series too. Even the BBC series, although nothing beats the 80's original. Nice guest spot for Jimmy Nail there too.

I remember going to the cinema to see Madonna's Evita. I didn't read too much about it before I went. The lights went down as the major actors names came up dramatically one after another from a black screen as the film started. For some reason - JIMMY NAIL came up and I burst into bed-wettingly loud hysterical laughter which for no reason, spread like an epidemic around the entire place, this went on for at least three minutes till eventually most people managed to retain their composure. Of course what made it worse was the glares of indignation from the folk with the sense of humour bypass and Cineworld season tickets etc.

Still chuckling at the end of the film, (which was rather an anti-climax after such a start) I got talking to a member of staff on the way out mentioned that I expected the staff got used to this at the start of each performance, to which I was told, no, this was the only time it happened and had no idea why........

    Oh well......

    Great story..

Yep, loved 'Auf..' especially the first two. If you watch them now it's amazing to see how slowly the stories unfold, making the most of the ensemble cast and the dialogue. Beautifully written stuff.

I fully concur James. Clement and La Frenais no?

... and... with regard to the cinema hysteria epidemic, well I doubt anyone else there that evening will ever forget it either. One for the YouTube of my life in heavens waiting room
