Why can't I post images here

Still not fixed for me yet I've seen other post images.

I want to be able to upload an image from my computer (NOT a URL) but  when I click on the "attach images" the "from gallery/upload" option
is blank. There is nothing there.
So is the only way I can post an image by url or s it perhaps my browser ?
Tried in firefox and IE

Pretty sure you have to use an internet server. I've used mainly flickr and dropbox for uploading images. There are many to choose from though.

I think that even when this works (and it did for me last time I tried it a few weeks ago, don't know why it isn't working now), the photo appears as an attachment on your post and won't appear in the post body itself. Pretty lame.

Honestly, the quickest way to upload to a server is by using imgur.com - all you have to do is drag the image onto their webpage and it gives you a list of different link formats. Click the copy button next to the "direct link" option (i.e. the one with the .jpg on the end of it) and post it into the Sonar URL box. Almost as quick as uploading the photo directly to the forum, and you get to paste the photo in the body of the post.

The coffee house is down below then is it ?
I'm sure you can get up to lots of mischief in the coffee house that would never be allowed here.
musicroom, you're saying that "I have to use an internet server" and it looks like you're right and I'm going t have too
but only because the upload doesn't work on this forum and as Glynpointed out, it works elsewhere.
It's a major PITA to have to go to mediafire (or wherever) and upload a picture, then get a link to that picture and post that link on this forum. I've had problems with people saying they couldn't view or download stuff like that before as they weren't memebers.

That's not true....we get people trying to sell kitchens everywhere and Cake treats them all the same...now...they use to get flushed down to the CH but Cake got the plumbing fixed.
Now they drain out into to the street I think.

The editor of said mag has just paid a visit to the fx forum to verify that it is indeed for real which was good of him.
And he lives in Bristol too.

Yeah I think it could be around then but apart for the fact that my NDA "Non Disclosure Form" forbids me to say I actually have no idea right now.

Very good point Jay, hadn't thought of it like, there is a lot of that sort of thing goes on here.
Funny that it's allowed in the coffee house though ?

So... just use the CHF as your hosting sight. Create a "dummy" post and upload your photo there. Then use the URL for that pic in your Sonar X2 Forum posting.

You'll even get an extra post count for doing it.

For those using imgur.com to post images on the forum: I just noticed that there's a free Chrome extension available in the Chrome store called "imgur uploader" which, when installed, adds an option to "rehost image" to your right click menu. So all you have to do is right click on an image in your browser, select "rehost image" and it will automatically upload to imgur.com. Then all you have to do is click on the little icon next to "direct link" on the right of the imgur page, and the URL will be copied to the clipboard for pasting into the forum. A simple task just got simpler.
