Why do I have to enable aftertouch each time?

I figgered this would be be fixed in SX, but Noooooooooooooooooo!

Everytime I start Sonar, S8.5, and now SX, I have to enable recording of aftertouch.

Why?  This is a global setting.

What am I not doing that I should not have to do?

    I don't know what SX is, but I just tried enabling both key and channel aftertouch in Options>Global>Midi Tab and ever project I open now has them enabled. Even if I close the program, they are enabled when I start the program and open a project. I will continue to see if I can duplicate your problem.

    Thank you for your response.

    >> I don't know what SX is

    I figgered this is the Sonar forum. And the current version is the beginning of the X series. Hence SX.  So, SX1.    Soon to be SX1-too.

    ===============

    Do not open a project.  Close the dialog and open preferences.

    This is happening, and has happened, on all of my computers with all currently installed versions of Sonar, 7 , 8.5, and now X1, 32 bit and 64 bit, on w7 32, 64, and w8 64.

    This is the pre-X1 forum, the X1 forum is upstairs but the aftertouch settings stick for me using 8.5.3, both 32 bit and 64 bit but I always set Global settings with an empty project loaded. Close and create a new project and its still set.

    Do you have a keyboard connected and powered?

    i do not.

    Why do all the other boxes stay checked but not this one.  On all my computer, 4, with various versions installed?
