Why do X1 says 'Out of memory' when I try to import more than one 5mb mp3 file ?

When I boot up X1 and import a small 6mb mp3 file onto a Track, I can't load any more files into the program. Says Out of Memory? Where did ALL the memory go? don't have any other programs loaded and I have 900gb HD and 4GB of SD-RAM available so what's the problem here?

4GB might sound a lot, and I certainly agree that a 6mb mp3 file shouldn't be cause for concern, but we really need to know more about your set-up before we can help.

    What is your OS?

    32bit or 64bit?

answer these questions, and more first please.

This one pops up evey once in a while. It had something to do with problematic tags and included artwork in the file.

Yes, it was Noel who said the probem is with the MS engine that Sonar uses.

Download a tag modifier (mp3Tag, for example, its free) and re-input the tags on the problem files. That should do away with the message.

Or convert your mp3 into a wav and then import it.
