Why does AudioSnap have only Transient Markers?

I'm trying to transfer a project originally developed in Pro Tools to Sonar.  There is a vocals track where the timing is off.  In Pro Tools it wasn't a problem to line up the vocals using Warp Markers.  However, I have all sorts of timing problems when I try to use Transient Markers in Sonar.

Finally it hit me that the real problem is because Audio Snap has only Transient Markers.  Pro Tools Elastic Audio has both Event Markers (= Transient Markers) and Warp Markers.  Although the actual warping process is based on Event Markers, I can place a Warp Marker anywhere I want to and warp the audio between two Warp Markers.  Unless I'm missing something here I can't do that in Sonar.  I only have the Transient Markers to work with, so I have to adjust those and hope the timing of the audio comes out right (which it usually doesn't in this track).  Is there a better way?

You didn't say which version of SONAR you are using. The new Audiosnap 2.0 in SONAR 8.5 has changed dramatically from 1.0, but I think you can still add transient markers anywhere you want as you could in 1.0, although the procedure may have changed. I don't know how Warp Markers work but from your description, being able to add transient markers would give you the ability to control what region(s) do or don't get stretched. You can also move existing markers, but unless they are superfluous or misplaced, I would probably leave them alone.

Don't forget that you can use V-Vocal to line up vocals too.  Personally, I think it does a much better job of it than Audio Snap.

I am old school I guess. If the timing is off I cut the track up into clips and nudge things as needed. This of course is for just a few timing issues. If the the track is riddled with them audio snap would be the better approach.
