Why does X3 song title have brackets? [ song title ]

If I load an old project or create a new one, all songs have [ ] in the title.
Anyone know why?

    This is probably something simple I should know about, some help would be appreciated.
    If someone can answer this today, i'll join the Platinum club and upgrade!(NOW THAT ALL MY ROLAND GEAR IS WORKING IN WINDOWS 10)

    Hi. Do you have SONAR Platinum (2015) demo installed? If so, that could be a reference to projects being made in an earlier version. Others may know better

    You do not need Windows 10 to use SONAR Platinum (any version).

    Thanks for the reply Ken.
    Regarding reference to old projects, I have just opened X3 and created a new song called test, normal project, the title now shows as -   SONAR X3 Producer - [test - Track]
    Not sure when this started but its bugging me now. This is in windows 8.1

    I just fired up X3e and created a new project.  The project title is in brackets, same as Platinum.
     
    Seems like like it's always been this way for me, but I won't swear to it

    Is the OP referring to the title in the Sonar window (with brackets here) or the actual project files on the computer (no brackets here)?
     
    BTW, X2 does the same.

    I expect it's just a away to make the title clear/stand out in the title bar, amongst the other texts?

    The brackets are in the top window when sonar is open, not in the saved project file name on the pc.
    Why is the word track being added to the title?     SONAR X3 Producer - [test - Track]
    I'm thinking of offering a reward for this one!

    I never noticed this before. It is in the title bar. Its a good catch by the OP. I think Pwalpwal nailed it. 
     
    I did a search on this and came up empty. I did find this thread though. So as far as I am concerned the explanation of Pwalpwal is the right one until something better comes along.

    The brackets have always been there for me. The word "Track" is referring to the view you are in I think. If you undock the multidock and look at it "Track" changes to "Multidock".

    Maybe the brackets have always been there and I've just not noticed.

    Isn't this just so that if you have multiple projects open, you can see which project's track window you are looking at?
