Why is it reverting to 90bpm ?

So i am trying to add more drums to a project i did last night , i have one midi file in there from addictive drums which is playing at 80bpm.
But no matter what i do when i try to add anything else from Addictive drums , even much lower bpm clips they go to the projects 90bpm messing everything up.
I know it was fine last night as i have that one addictive drums midi clip playing fine at 80.

When i demo it in addictive drums it plays fine , i,m not checking sync tempo

I just want another high hat to play at 80- bpm and not keep following the project tempo of 80
I did try changing the project audio but that made everything much worse , i know i am making a total noob mistake here so go easy on me haha

Thanks
Dan

If I understand correctly what you try to achieve, you just need to "stretch" MIDI clip to desired length. Make sure it is not looping (groove clip properties in the inspector or simply bounce), then either "Shift+Ctrl+drag" the border to desired place, Process/Length or Process/Fit to time.
That works well in case your project tempo is constant or you want follow project tempo, just from different base. When not, so you want your MIDI clip plays at some constant tempo, ignoring project tempo changes, there is a method... but more tricky.

The problem is that MIDI clips internally have time in MBT, not absolute. So they always "follow tempo" till events time is manipulated. Audio clips are opposite, they have absolute time by default and so speciall effort is required to make them follow tempo.

No i have ,lets say track 5 which has addictive drums playing at the perfect tempo, i have added another track with another beat , inside the addictive drums panel it plays perfect to tempo , i move it into the track in sonar and solo it and it plays perfect, i also solo track 5 and that also plays perfect tempo , as soon as i let them both play then one of them speeds up and it is no longer in tempo anymore.

Are those two clips at different tempos inside AD? I believe they are still considered groove clips (embedded tempo info) even when dragged into SONAR, but not sure. It seems that one is winning the fight.

In that case I would tempo sync AD to SONAR and set the tempo in SONAR to what you want to work with. Unsynchronized will give you the tempo of the clip inside of AD. Synch also forces all clips played in AD to be at the tempo of your choice.

If in Addictive Drums 2 you don't have the Sync Tempo button enabled the clip will play at the native tempo of the clip.  But when you drag it into SONAR it's going to play at whatever your project's tempo is.  So if you have two clips at two different tempos they will both be played at the project's tempo.  You can adjust the MIDI clip's length so that it is closer to its native tempo.  But beats/measures won't line up when you do that.  Select the clip in the trackview and choose Process->Length.  For the length take the project tempo divide by the MIDI clip's original tempo and multiply by 100.  So a 120bpm project with a 105bpm clip that clip needs to be scaled to 114.28 % (Process->Length only takes integers so round it).   But what that does to the beats really makes it something you most likely don't want since nothing will line up right.
