Couldn't agree more about the need for adaptation but when it hurts its reasonable to complain especially if it makes the pain less and smooths out the bumps for those who adopt later in the cycle. I'm usually an early adopter and was not going to do that this year because of ongoing (still not resolved) communication issues with sales and customer support, but here I am again in the thick of it.

I welcome debate, complaints that clearly state the problem and keeping the tone of the comments civil (at least mostly as we can all get a little testy at times) I think it breaths a bit of life into things here and makes full use of the forums purpose to share our experiences with Cakewalk software for the betterment of the software as well as providing help to the other members who frequent the forum.

As for the other noise I try to let it pass by me and a few folks who annoy me I block them and occassionally unblock them to see if the tune and the tone has change. If it has I unblock them and keep on. We're talking about software and a web forum not solving mankind's problems so a realistic expectation doesn't go astray either.

I'm also tied up getting my live rig sorted out with some new outboard gear along with SONAR 8.5.3 and a Mackie 1640 with Firewire and my newish laptop and some upcoming projects that will take me away from the deep use of X1 that I've been able to undertake this last week. So I'm making hay while it "shines" (well not so brightly as yet) but hopeful for X1a.
See yous later as its 12:40am and gotta get to bed.

Good thing the youngsters are not allowed to change basic mathamatics.

Or spelling .... DOH :)

Exactly.
Specially when it is done on porpose. And without awareness.
