Wild Dogs

This song has been under construction for years; I just keep coming back to it.
It may not sound it, but it's a massive project with many layers. I've recently been messing about with Melodyne to triple up the bass tracks and using Cakewalk drum replacer along with AD2 to add layers to the cajan drums. I also got to play about with my new Izoptope products to clean up the sound.
Hope you like it.

I like this.  The mix is very well done and everything balances out nicely.  Very smooth style.

hello burger P, it does sound like a massive project.  I like it, has a great vibe, sounds like some early 70's stuff.  I hope the best for you

I like your stuff Philip, you have a nice atmosphere to your songs, they sound 'genuine' if that's not too trite.

Not much to criticise except some of the string squeaks were a bit loud. That's an easy fix with some volume automation.

Thanks James. I really appreciate your comments. Really.
I'm thrilled that you find it genuine. They really are. I feel everything that I sing. It's straight from the heart. In many ways I feel 'too much'.
I also appreciate the technical advice. I'll get onto it tonight and try to identify where those squeaks are. Could be one of the many bass tracks that were done with a detuned Flamenco guitar.
Thanks again, and thanks to Jesse and John too.
