Marty, There are a few of us close by....relatively speaking.
I'm in Wilson county, about 2 hrs away.... there are cakers from Raleigh and Fayetteveille as well and a few other places further west in NC. While we sometimes get a wild hair and decide to meet up for lunch or something on the rare and occasional blue moon, most of the time the advice we give is here on the forum and it's free.
It takes time to learn MC6 and get a good handle on it. The basics are relatively easy to grasp.
The best advice I can give you here and now, is go to your account settings for the forum and place your computer, software and sound card info in your signature. That way we instantly can see what gear you have when you are asking questions.
Second, do take the time to watch the tutorials and work through them. When you get stumped, come here and ask specific questions. We do our best to answer them and get you rolling in the right direction.
In the meantime....welcome.
