Will X1 include a new version of VS-700 Monitor Mixer?

Greetings:

Well, first we got the new 2.0 drivers for the -700, and next month we'll get X1, but so far there's no mention of the monitor mixer/IO control applet.  I was hoping for better control of it with the Console.

Any word?

Actually, we just released a new Control Surface plugin recently. It's got a tweaked GUI and adds a few features to the VS-700C.

You can download it here ... http://www.cakewalk.com/s...der.aspx?ID=2007013201

We are going to update the Control Surface plugin once again for X1, though. That should be out roughly two to three months after X1 ships.

To the best of my knowledge, the routing of the VS-700R is down to hardware, so we can't change it with a software update. It's actually the circuitry inside the box, unfortunately.

    H. OUTPUT 1–10 Jacks
These are ten channels of audio output connectors. They allow a broad range of connections, such as for multioutput
in a surround system, or as sends for outboard effects. These are balanced outputs. They output the signals of
    the audio driver’s “1-2 (VS-700)” – “VS-700 OUT 9-10” ports.

will these function as direct outs as well? if my problem is solved

looks like the direct mix do not work as a direct "channel"  output only trough a stereo output main/sub or digital :-(

I want to route my inputs directly out for monitoring with no latency
to connect a second mixer for monitoring for adding several monitormixes an reverbs etc.  reharsals etc.
