Will X2 be a "new" install Does X1 have to be on the same computer?

I have a new laptop... I'd like to put X2 on it... I'm wondering if the X1 serial nbumber has to be in place

Typically no for a full new release.  But what do I know?

Probably not, as this is a new version release vs. an update. I've received my serial #s within an hour of my $99.00 payment last night.

X2 will happily co-exist alongside X1 + any other previous version you have installed, and there is absolutely no reason to uninstall X1 before installing X2

    I think that covers it

Sonar releases are typically full versions... so you should be able to install X2 sans X1.

X2 is in 4 parts and there are 10 parts in total.

The original poster is screwed. He have to make an addition 4 double clicks.

What if, I decide to unistall, later, my X1? This could cause any conflicts?

Is it possible to install X2 producer over X1 Expanded, effectivly upgrading X1 to X2 rather than having both versions installed?

No - they are completely separate programs but with some "shared" utilities.

If you're planning on uninstalling X1 in the future it's a very good idea to make sure you do a FULL install of X2

only really plugins perhaps. not sure if there are exclusives in X1 that aren't in X2.. I guess maybe Dim Pro / Rapture LE has gone ?

What up CJay!!! You crack me up man! Just finished downloading all since this will be a new install on the laptop... I will install it on the quad core desk too, but I'm very interested to see what X2 will be like on a i7 with 12gb or RAM... that's a step up for me!!! I hope all is better than well for you, brother!
