Win 7 x64, Kontakt 4, Sonar 8.3 and H4n

I just built a new rig as my old one was failing. When I try to load an instrument in Kontakt 4, Kontakt crashes. Then when I try to delete Kontakt from the synth rack, Cakewalk crashes. True Pianos works fine. I haven't tested other vst's yet.

I'm not sure where to start looking for the root of the problem. My e-mu 0202 doesn't work with Windows 7, so I can't test with it instead. I hate to buy a new audio interface/DAW just to troubleshoot. Any ideas of how to troubleshoot this? As I mentioned in the title, I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit with Sonar 8.3 using the H4n as my audio interface. Thanks in advance.
Edit:  I downloaded Reaper, and Kontakt works great inside of it.  I'm guessing it's a compatibility problem between Sonar and Kontakt 4.

Re-Edit:  I forgot to update to 8.3.  I'm still on 8.0.  Once I'm updated, I'll see if there's still a problem.
Edit #3: I updated, and it doesn't change anything.  Crashes in the same spot.  Kontakt is up to date as well.
Edit #4: I tried reinstalling the 32-bit version of sonar and vst's.  It doesn't fix anything.

Last edit:  Running everything but Windows in 32-bit mode, I just needed to set Sonar to run in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP 3 and it works.
