Win 8 drivers coming soon?

Not that I would need win 8 drivers (yet) but I just realized that Roland released win 8 drivers for the Octa-Capture (v.1.5.1 on 2012-10-26), which is probably now their most supported interface.
 
Let's keep an eye open if they also provide win 8 drivers for the VS-700 in the coming days. That should give us a hint of how much support for the VS-700 there still is ...

    Got this in the vs-100 forum, the 700 one should be in the way....

    At this moment the Win 8 drivers for our VS-100  are not ready yet. 
    Roland Staff is working hard to get all drivers up to date as soon as possible.

    Here's the response I got from Roland US re VS700:

    Hello Jason,

    We have sent a request for Windows 8 drivers to our corporate Roland, BOSS and Cakewalk headquarters in Japan.
    At this time, we do not have any information regarding when they plan to release them.

    Windows 8 drivers are coming at NAMM 2013 with a VS update like last year.

    A confirmation of this would be nice. Is it what you think or you have a real source?

     Just to let you all know! Udate. just recieved email from Oliver Davis Senior Producer Roland. Quote 'I have just recieved confirmation That Drivers for all current VS range (including VS-20)will be released in January'.

    Sounds about right, Namm 2013 as expected. I wouldn't be surprised if that includes X2a too.
