Windows 10 Sonar installation issue.
I thought I'd post this here in case it helps anyone else. I bought a new laptop 2 days ago which came with Windows 8.1. The first thing I did was install the Windows 10 upgrade.
I then went to install Sonar using the Command Center and ran into a few issues installing certain components. The issue has to do with the registration of some of the Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL files) used in some of the plugins.
This error occurs when .NET3.5 isn't enabled properly.
To enable this in Windows 10, click on the Windows button type "control panel" and press enter. This should open control panel.
In the top right of the control panel window you should see another search box. Click on that and type "view installed updates". This should filter out that option in the list below. Click on it and this should open a new window.
On the left hand side of this window you should see the option to "Turn Windows Features on or off". Click this and another window should open.
On this final window expand out
.NET Framework 3.5 ... by clicking on the plus sign and tick the two boxes underneath it (as I have done in the image below). Click OK and it should ask you to restart Windows. Once it has restarted, Sonar should install properly.
