Windows 10 Taskbar always in the way

Looking for solutions...I've got 2 monitors...if you know a thread or anything

    this might be something you have tried, but did you try auto-hide?  Taskbar disappears until you mouse over it, then it pops back up.  I think you just right click the bar to show options.

    I wonder if one of the "Windows Classic" GUI emulators will work in Win 10.
     
    A year ago when I updated to Win 8/8.1 on both of my machines, I installed the free Classic Shell as well (with Win7 "look"), so have never had to contend with the Metro GUI.   It's the best of both worlds -- the stability and speed of Win8 with the familiar navigation of Win7. 
     
    Unless they've locked down the Win10 GUI, this might be a fix/alternative.

    Taskbar behaviour is pretty much the same (Win 7/Win 10)... Or can be configured as such.

    And start button lives with 8.1

    For what it's worth, I have the same problem on my dual monitor system. My only temporary fix is to go into task manager, scroll down to the bottom, cluck on Windows Explorer, then click on Restart. As I say, it is temporary.

    I don't get how it is in the way, or could be in the way, I have a few dual monitor setups, I just don't get it ?

    Richard - my setup is a laptop with a second monitor connected to the HDMI output. On this monitor, the taskbar pops up and remains popped up thus rendering that portion of the screen unuseable. The only workaround I have found so far is as I described above, but as soon as the taskbar is accessed again it remains on screen. The display on the laptop itself is unaffected. It isn't just Sonar it affects - it is present with almost all software I use.  

    Sonar - Platinum (always up to date)
    PC - Dell XPS 13 7th Gen Intel i7, 500GB SSD, 16GB RAM, 2 x 27" HD monitors, connected via a D3100 DOCKING STATION.
    OS - Windows 10 x64

    Ok, You can't just do like you do with a normal desktop dual monitor setup and tell it not to show up on the 2nd monitor ? that would be a bummer I guess :(

    F11 works on monitor 1 but not monitor 2.

    I don't think I have a taskbar on my 2nd monitor. Maybe there is some kind of bar. I never payed attention to it...shows how perceptive I can be :)

    You can tell it to be gone, it was there by default on all my dual monitor setups with Windows 10

    Found it. You can hide the task bar on the second monitor by changing the setting (righ click) to show it on all displays.
