Windows 10 Update Installation Questions

I know I am late to the Win10 party. I have just recently updated my home office computer from 8.1 to Windows 10 and it went very smoothly. I am now ready to update my studio DAW to Windows 10 and before I do so I wanted to ask a couple questions as I run several DAW softwares and run many of the software addons that we discuss on this subforum.

Cloned and Backed Up.  I have just cloned my C drive again and have it has a backup in case the Win10 install fails or has issues. I also just backed-up up all my Sample drives. So clones and backups are active and up-to-date.

Questions:
  1. Is there anything I should uninstall prior to updating to 10?
  2. Any problems with Mixbus 3, Cubase 8.5, Studio One 3.2, Sonar Platinum and Windows 10? [I was waiting for Steinberg to give the green light for Win10 with Cubase, and I know that the problems have been fixed]

  3. Are there any vsts or vstis that have shown to be problematic with Windows 10 update?  i ask this here because I know many of you have Waves, Izotopte, IKM, NI, UAD, etc.....  Any pitfalls or troubles installing Windows 10 with our beloved thirdparty software?
I know I will have to “hack” the Roland PCR800 driver to get it to work with Windows 10 (and I did a test run on my home office computer; the hack worked fine).

I have already downloaded the Windows 10 audio drivers from MOTU and motherboard drivers from ASUS; so I have that covered

Are there any other installation hurtles or pitfalls that I should avoid or prepare for as I do the Windows 10 update from Windows 8.1?

I really don't expect any problems, but I thought it would be worth asking here if there are any areas to be careful with or if there are problems that some of you experienced when you updated to Win10.

Thanks for any advice.

The only thing I might suggest, if you want to be ultra-careful, is to move any software licenses you have installed on your DAW back to the cloud (in other words, deauthorize your apps and plugins). That way, if something untoward happens during the upgrade, you won't have to deal with getting your licenses back from the vendors (or their third party, which is usually worse).

From my upgrade, the only real problems I had were: 1) getting a stable graphics card driver, and 2) (and I knew this going in) getting a Win10 driver for my Tascam audio i/f (that took about 30 days post Win10 birthdate).

My only real issue remaining is waiting on AMD to clean up the Radeon HD x64 driver for Win10. [Edit 2: Changed my mind. I ordered a Gigabyte GV-N75TWF2OC-4GI (nVidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti Windforce 4 GB) yesterday. Should be here tomorrow.]

Edit 1: If you have any Arturia VSTs authorized via their ASC (Arturia Service Center), be aware that I have yet to get ASC to run on my PC under Win10. It installs OK, but immediately aborts to the OS when I try to run it. Arturia support have been no help, so I'm going to open a new ticket, and try again.

I did it!  I installed/upgraded to Win10 from Win 8.1.  The only problem I had was with Sonar Platinum.  It would not see the MOTO audio device; it had all inputs greyed out.  However, I knew that the MOTU had the new win10 drivers, and all my standalone vsti's were working fine, including Rapture, Zeta, Dimension Pro.  So, I reinstalled the latest version of Sonar Platium, and it found the MOTU drivers.  Now I have sound from Sonar again.

Thanks to those who paved the way, and those who gave advice.
