I found the smaller task bar icons weird for a moment, but after having had W10 for a few days now, they seem fine to me.

I find the W10 icons weird and ugly on the desktop but like them in explorer.

Watch out for tablet mode. I got into it by accident and only knew it didn't have to be that way because I had two Windows 10 computers and one was not in tablet mode.
StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I think I'll just go the usual route of not reading any documentation or tutorials relating to my new version of Windows, only to discover mind blowing features and shortcuts 5 years down the line that could have saved me hours of inconvenience and/or frustration. Seems to work for me.

I find the task manager in Win 10 to be much better than the earlier versions.

I would love more colour adjustment. I find there is way too much white space. I could do without the metro tiles also but haven't figured out how to delete them. I did find that they can be renamed. One is now named total bollocks and the other is complete confusion.

OK I’m going to list some tips as I think of them. I may add to this as time goes on. Taskbar; This is for me the control center of my system. I like it taller than stock by unlocking it with a right click and dragging up on the top part of it. It will resize. Than just relock it. If you have dual monitors Windows 10 will default with both monitors having a taskbar. If you have them auto hide there is no reason to change this. However, not having the taskbar auto hide waste space. Another cool feature of all Windows versions with a taskbar is creating custom toolbars. What are those you ask? They are any folder setup on the desktop with just about any contents. However, I like to have at least one for manuals of, you guessed it, Sonar and plugins. I create a folder on the desktop that I name docs (this is just an example) and in it I put shortcuts of the manuals I want to access quickly. I will have subfolders in this folder to organize the manuals by developer. Once I have enough shortcuts in it all I do is goto properties of the taskbar and click on toolbars and add the one I created. When this is installed all you have to do is click on the arrow and click on the shortcut and your manual will present itself. Windows 10 has virtual desktops. For information on them this is the place to look. http://www.howtogeek.com/...s-in-windows-10/ I think for many they will be very useful. I like to have my background change from time to time. Therefore I use themes I download them from MS. If you have dual monitors use panoramas. They look great on dual monitors.

The tiles to the right in the start menu(I assume that is what metro tiles is refereeing to) can be removed by right clicking and unpin, then just drag to resize I think, it's something like that, it's quite easy, but I rolled back to Windows 7 on both laptops and test PC I tried Windows 10 on so I can't check
