Windows 7: P5 won't install

I have a new computer (i5) and windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. When I pop the P5 cd in the tray and click instal, the install routine interrupts itself and quits... Is this normal

Thanks

Try running the setup in compatibility mode.

This happened to me. Just open up the setup on the cd and you should be able to get it going.

    What is compatibility mode?

Windows Vista and Windows 7 both allow a program to be launched with a "compatibility mode" setting that simulates an older version of Windows (like XP, XP/sp1, XP/sp2, etc) to aid a program in running smoother in the newer versions of Windows.

There is also an option to "Run as Administrator" to give a program escalated privileges.  This is also helpful for getting older programs to run on the newer systems.
