Windows 8 and DPC Latency

Hi all
 
So I have windows 8 pro on my Daw now using Classic Shell.
 
In windows 7 I had a great DPC Latency reading of 3us - 9us when idle and max of 30us under full load with prime 95.
 
Now with windows 8 it is not recomended to use DPC Latency checker and instead use Latency Mon.
 
With Windows 8 and Latency Mon I have readings of 2us- 30us with spikes of  115+ - 300+that point to a Windows Kernal Driver or Usb Port Driver.
 
Is there anyone who knows of a way for this to stop so I can get my DPC Latency as low as I had it in Windows 7 ?
 
All drivers are up to date etc and all usual windows 7 tweeks that I apply are done.
 
By the looks of things Widows 8 is just crap for DPC Latency

    From what I've been reading it appears as tho Windows 8 is just crap period.
    Windows seems to have this thing that every other OS is good.
    XP good, Vista crap, 7 good, 8 crap.
    Supposed to be a new version of 8 coming out soon. We'll see if that fares any better.

    No problems with Win 8 here.

    @ Mike I feel the same

    @ Jeff I dont have anything thats a show stoper but latency mon points to the Usb drivers or windows Kernal to be the highest DPC on my machine and cant find a way to bring it down.

    Compared to my windows 7 rig the DPC is not as good.

    What's your Latency Mon point to as the highest Jeff?

    As I've previously noted I have a dual boot Win 7/Win 8.  Although Win 7 is my "production" system, I have no problems with latency on Win 8 and although I've only done some 4 track audio recording with Win 8 I get the same latency setup with my Octa-Capture as I do in Win 7.

    The DPC Latency Checker is not compatible with Win 8. The web site says they are working on a Win 8 compatible version but that has been 6 months or more ago.  I tried the Latency Monitor program once time, mainly to see how it worked.  I had a system that was not having any problems and shown as all in low green with the DPC Latency Checker (in Win 7) but the Latency Mon showed I had problems and would have drop outs.  I don't remember for sure but the USB stands out as one of the items it flagged.

    Same here. I have zero dropouts, glitches, freezes or anything else I can associate with high DPC latency despite what Latency Mon tells me.
