Windows 8 and MIDI

Is there a way that we can get MIDI to work in Windows 8?

    I think someone mentioned that the full release will have MIDI capabilities. Why anyone would want to use Win8 upon first release for audio is beyond me though. Give them a year or so to work out the bugs. I have a feeling there is going to be a deluge of problems posted once people start switching to 8.

    None of my software, hardware, or plug-ins are officially certified to work in Windows 8, so why should I even consider it ??  I don't want to gum up the perfectly good working system I have now, so Microsoft can make a few more bucks.

    Not in Metro mode, that's for sure. Supposed to work in "classic mode".
