Windows 8.1 & VS-100 Installation Issues- any pointers?

Hello All;
I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 x64 from Windows 7 x64.
 
I downloaded the VS-100 Windows 8 drivers and confirmed that the firmware on my VS-100 was version 1.5.
 
After running the driver installer, the installation process seems to install some files, as evidence of the green progress bar on the task bar icon.
 
However, the installation gets hung at the VS-100 Driver Setup screen that is prompting to connect the USB cable and turn the power on, the next button remains greyed out.
 
Any suggestions on things to try?

    Ahh ok after some hunting around, I downloaded the V2.0.2 version of the drivers from Roland's site (http://roland.com/support/article/?q=downloads&p=VS-100&id=62483096)
     
    They installed and run fine.
