My medication isn't rated for involvement in the insider program. You're a brave man.

lol. Valium. Lots and lots of Valium.

I had to go through the usual XLN wrong computer ID for Addictive Drums license dance but Sonar at first blush loads up a complex project and plays fine. There isn't a recording session on my plate for a bit but I'll report on that.

The memory compression feature works with paging. Normally when there are many apps demanding access to memory, the OS will write the content of suspended app's memory "pages" to disk and read the current app's memory pages in from disk. This "swap" creates a bottleneck because disk is very slow in CPU world. Memory compression works by simply running a compression (like zip) on the contents of the app's page, thereby freeing up memory for other active processes. Since compressing is a CPU and memory operation it can run potentially quite a lot faster than physical disk writes, so contention for memory is much reduced.

My system has 24 gig of ram so in the natural course of things I shouldn't hit the trigger for a swap.

So, I am interested in the colour scheme/customization side of things, the only thing holding me back from jumping ship from Windows 7. Can you give a bit more info ? pics ? or point me to where I can find it ?

FYI if you are in to customizing the way Windows looks a ton, have a look at Stardock's products. WindowBlinds is their most well known one and lets you make the windows look however you wish. They've got a bunch of others to do various things. Most aren't updated for 10 yet, but they should be soon.

I haven't tried any of Stardock's products. Do they have useful and decent looking presets? I'm really not in to shredding on a theme. :)

Yes, that's their big thing. Make it easy to get what you want. Then if you want more, premium (paid for) themes are another thing they are in to. It comes with plenty of good looking presets and more are available for sale. It is how they makes their monies :).

I'm seeing quite a few audio engine dropouts on 10532. I may need to reinstall the MOTU 8pre drivers or perhaps there are new little services interfering with things. I haven't dug around in it much for lack of time but on average I will get at least one every five minutes or so. I'd like to see MOTU update their drives soon!

Well, the fun continues with build 10532. After reinstalling my motu 8pre drivers Sonar crashes on startup. So I tried to unstall and reinstall the lastest Sonar and the install is crashing too. I'll report more as I find out what's going on here.
