Windows Media Center Question

Is there a way to strip down Media Center to make it just XP. The Media center came with my computer last year but I would like to remove al of the extras that I never use and just have an XP OS without the bells. Thanks for any help.

    Yes there is a way to do this . I remember reading it somewhere but I cant remember where (I know, some help huh?) Try a google search on it. If I can find it again I'll post it here. Maby in the meantime someone else will chime in with info.

    I'll be trying this one too
    just got a new machine with WMC on it and have had some difficulties I suspect WMC for.
