Winter

With Sonar come a lot of syntheseizers. I admit, I haven't used them at all. I usually use sampled acoustic instruments. This time I wanted to make an attempt of a more electronica based tune so I used some sounds from Dim Pro and X3ta+. Ola was kind enough to put on some nice guitar figures - just to connect man to the machine :-) Hope you enjoy. Any comment is appreciated.

Wow love the intro !!!!! Harmonies and melodies are pretty cool.  A bit jagged and dirty.....yeah !!!! nice one !!
Lots of differant influences in it.The part at 2.15 reminds of a really cool track Ian Brown did,it's an outro track on one of his albums, has a really cool middle eastern feel to it.Mix sounds good this end.Sorry I cant be more helpful !!!! Gonna give it a second listen :-)

Well, If it was electronica you were after you hit the mark. Nice sounds and textures. I don't know what ola is or how it works (as for the guitar) but it seemed to blend in nice with the background piece. Sounds good.

Sounds great, I did like the guitar work, I think it really did make the song. The fusion between guitar and electronic was spot on. I will keep an ear out for more of your work.

Dude, I love this!  How deliciously weird and strange and cool.  I really enjoy instrumentals, not sure if you plan on keeping it that way, I sure hope so.  This really works.  Love the piano and that electric guitar dancing over that progression.  I wish I could hear more bass, and that may be my crappy PC speakers here at work.

I like it that you don't know what the music is going to do next.

I want to hear this on my car stereo loud and proud.  Nice job.

Funny because while I was listening to this, my better half asked me which King Crimson album this was from.  I told her it was the new KC!  I find this production to be excellent on all levels.  Keep em coming.

The Band: Thnx! We have had a very mild winter in Sweden so far until yesterday or so  when suddenly a lot of snow and northern bliss took over.
Voda La Void: Nice nick! I like to make weird stuff, glad you mentioned that word. And yes, it should be played loud, especially the final part. I am a bit uncertain about the levels of the guitar and the other instruments. I don't want it just to be a guitar tune with backing.
Lynn: I envy you who has a better half knowing so much about KC! Thanks to both of you for such a great compliment!

Equality - I knew it.  It sounds even better on the real stereo, loud.  Lots of space still, I didn't get that listening over those PC speakers before.  I does NOT sound like a guitar tune with backing, it sounds like the guitar was brought in because it was another necessary component.   I love how the progression is hard to define..just about the time I think I know what note you're going to, it moves again.  It's subtle, but cool.

Ok, finally got to it, sorry for being so long........... 3 listens in my only crit is the white noise sound at the beginning is maybe a db or two too loud at its peak , I would probably tame that a bit if it were me at the console. That aside, I really liked the edginess of this and the fact that even after several listens I still don't know where it's going. I could easily imagine this as film music.

Yea, sounds vaguely King Crimson, but not a knock off. Just a lot of change ups. Great production and you let the bass carry the thing.  everything else is wide and open - great work.  Great ear for relative volume - a place for everything and everything in its place.  Outstanding.
