ooooh very neat. to hear David Gilmour's famous lick on banjo is quite a pleasant listen. i think i heard a bluegrass version of this (Billy Flores?) where banjo and fingerpickin' was employed.... but it was much faster and a little too 'happy'. your version has a much slower and honest pathos in the spirit of the original. dig the piano as well.

Hi Andy, interesting take on the Original, vocals are nice if a bit depressing, not helped by a tempo that's bordering on just to slow. Intonation of the acoustic guitar is a bit iffy, at least to my ears. Timing of the banjo clashes in places with the acoustic. Sorry to be so critical. Rik

The banjo is a nice touch! I agree with Rik on the intonation of the guitar.

I always enjoy hearing a classic done in a fresh, new way, and this is no exception. The texture of the vocal is close enough to the original to sell the song. But, on my speakers no music came from the right channel. I doubt you recorded it this way so it must be a glitch in the server or the Soundclick site. All other songs on this site come through in stereo just fine. I just was curious if anyone else heard that. Anyway, good effort.

I'm good with it. I let the guitar players dissect the intonation and tempo and all that. I simply enjoyed this fresh take on this classic.

I enjoyed the take on this classic, but I also heard most of the music on the right channel - at least until the vocals kicked in. So maybe look at the panning layout? And I think I agree with Rik that it is a bit too slow - could maybe pick it up a bit. But nice job and thanks for posting it! ~ John

I love the concept...very nice... A little distorted on the opening guitar...peaking sounds like... I'm sure the panning of the opening guitar is intentionally to the far left....but maybe a bit too hard to one side...and everything else is a bit too far right... The banjo was great.... I also concur... just a touch to slow...but I don't know anything anyways...so Nice!!! Cheers!!

Nice bit of work there. I think the opening guitar is to muddy but other than that, Very well done!!

Interesting take and instrument choice. Sounds very left biased and far to slow for me with little tempo variations. Thanks for sharing.
